Orange Shirt Day

Orange Shirt Day: After 10:30 service on 8th September, Eddy Charlie and Kristin Spray will be outside to talk about Orange Shirt Day. It was so named after Phyllis Webstad had her beautiful shiny new orange shirt, a gift from her grandmother, was stripped from her on her first day at residential school. It honours the survivors and the fallen of the residential school system. Kristin and Eddy will have info pamphlets, t-shirts in different sizes, fleece blankets and Phyllis Webstad’s children’s book each for $20. Please show your support by wearing your t-shirts on Sunday 29th September, as the nearest Sunday of the official Orange Shirt Day on 30th September.
